I am working very closely with a partnering school in Telford in recruiting for a possible gap in Maths for September 2025.

About The School…

The academy school values every student and set high expectations. It offers a wide range of subjects at A Level, and GCSE as well as a variety of vocational qualifications.

For several years, the school have been recognised as a high performing school. It continues to build on its many strengths to ensure outstanding examination results and life skills.

Based in central Telford, the school has easy links from surrounding areas including Shrewsbury, Staffordshire and Wolverhampton.

The role: Maths Teacher

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality maths instruction to students in accordance with the national curriculum. This role requires a strong knowledge of mathematical concepts, effective teaching strategies, and the ability to inspire and engage learners of varying abilities.

Key Stage: 3,4 & 5

Reports to: Head of Department

Employment Type: Full-time,


Salary: MPS /UPS depending on experience

LEA: Telford and Wrekin

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in Mathematics students.
• Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with school policies and national standards.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports academic achievement and personal growth.
• Use a variety of teaching methods, technologies, and resources to address diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans, assessments, and cross-curricular projects.
• Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events as required.
• Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, behaviour, and academic performance.
• Provide support to students outside of regular classroom hours when needed (e.g., tutoring, revision sessions).
• Stay current with developments in mathematics education and engage in professional development opportunities.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field (required).
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, B.Ed., or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching mathematics at secondary level.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
• Passion for mathematics and a commitment to student success.
