Job Overview

Veritas Education is partnering with a welcoming SEN school in the London Borough of Merton to recruit a dedicated and adaptable Maths Teacher with QTS. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact by supporting students with special educational needs, helping them develop confidence and achieve their full potential in mathematics.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and adapt engaging Maths lessons tailored to the individual needs and abilities of SEN students.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing feedback to support learning and development.
  • Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages confidence, independence, and engagement.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to implement personalised learning strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records, contribute to reports, and ensure compliance with safeguarding and school policies.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Valid teaching qualification and QTS.
  • Experience teaching, ideally with SEN or in an inclusive setting.
  • Ability to motivate, inspire, and support students, fostering confidence and independence.
  • Strong team player, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and teaching assistants.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
