Maths Teacher – South Manchester | Elevate Supply

Elevate Supply is thrilled to be working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in South Manchester to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to step into a key teaching role covering a maternity leave, with a strong potential for the position to become permanent.

This full-time position will begin immediately after the May half term and is ideal for teachers who are ready to make a real difference in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

???? Pay Rate: £150 – £180 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Role

As a Maths Teacher, you’ll be delivering engaging and effective lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students to build confidence and competence in mathematics. You’ll join a high-performing department known for its collaborative ethos and commitment to student progress.

Your Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Use a range of teaching strategies to engage all learners, including those with additional needs
• Assess, track, and report on pupil progress
• Foster a positive classroom environment where every student feels supported
• Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and senior leaders to raise attainment
• Contribute to department planning and enrichment where appropriate
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a specialism in Mathematics
• Recent experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3 and KS4 essential)
• Strong classroom management and clear communication skills
• A reflective practitioner who is eager to develop professionally
• Passion for making mathematics accessible and enjoyable
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
