Qualifications

Remedy Education Recruitment Group is seeking a motivated and inspiring Maths or Science Teacher to join a new and innovative SEN school opening in Brent. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a supportive, therapeutic learning environment for children aged 7-16 with Autism and associated conditions.

About the Role:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths or Science lessons that engage and challenge learners

• Support students with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs

• Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic and personal development

• Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs

• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and wider support teams to ensure positive outcomes

• Engage in wider school life, including extracurricular activities and continuous professional development

What We're Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching Maths or Science at KS2, KS3 or KS4

• A background in SEN education is ideal, but we also welcome applications from experienced mainstream teachers with a genuine interest in SEN

• Understanding of Autism and associated learning needs

• Strong classroom management and the ability to inspire and motivate students

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• A commitment to continuous development and innovative teaching practices

About the School:
This brand-new SEN school in Brent is set to open in Spring 2025 and will cater for pupils aged 7-16 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Many of the pupils may not yet have a formal diagnosis but present with traits of Autism and associated conditions. The school offers a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach to teaching in a small, nurturing setting.
