Job summary

Tormead School in Guildford is seeking a highly qualified Maths Teacher to join a dynamic department. The role covers Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level teaching, with Further Maths offered as an optional fourth A Level. Applications welcome from Early Careers Teachers through to those with more experience.

The position is full-time or part-time (minimum 0.80 FTE) with a friendly environment, supportive leadership and opportunities for professional development.

About the school

Tormead School is an academically selective independent school for 800 girls aged 4–18, located a short stroll from the historic town centre of Guildford, just 40 minutes by train to London. Students attain excellent examination results with 90% attaining grade A*-B at A Level and 90% attaining a grade 7-9 at GCSE in 2025.

The role

Required for January 2027, this is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified, creative and passionate Maths Teacher to join a dynamic, supportive and very successful Maths department. The position is offered on a full-time or part-time basis (minimum 0.80 FTE) and involves teaching Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level. Further Maths is offered as a fourth A Level option.
