Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting for a Maths Teacher at an award-winning independent secondary school in Colchester. The role is long-term with an immediate start, offering the opportunity to plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons to secondary pupils in smaller class sizes.

The successful candidate will hold QTS, have experience teaching Maths in secondary school, and be able to manage classes effectively while supporting students to make strong academic progress.

Salary: £39,195 - £52,241 per annum

The school is looking to appoint a Maths Teacher on a long-term basis, with an immediate start. The successful Maths Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons to secondary-aged students, maintaining high expectations within the classroom and supporting pupils to make strong academic progress.

The successful Maths Teacher will have:

• QTS
• Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting
• Strong knowledge of the secondary Maths curriculum
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A positive, adaptable and student-focused approach
• A driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable due to the school's location
