We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Maths Teacher to join our new Options Autism School - Skylarks School in Epsom, Surrey.

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Maths Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore the natural world and develop critical thinking skills through engaging and hands-on science instruction.

Key Task Areas and Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and teach individual students or small groups, in accordance with the School’s Curriculum framework and policies.
  • Monitor, record, and report on student progress.
  • Contribute to and help implement developments related to the School Development Plan.
  • Promote, in line with Company policies, the physical, educational, and moral development of students.
  • Develop and implement learning environments and programs for individual students to ensure appropriate progression.
  • Coordinate teaching, development, assessment, recording, and reporting across key stages as agreed with the Headteacher.
  • Design, implement, and review individual education and behavior plans in collaboration with staff.
  • Organize the classroom, resources, student groupings, and displays to create a stimulating learning environment.
  • Plan to ensure student safety in line with risk assessments, both on and off-site.
  • Ensure Learning Support Assistants, Tutors, Instructors, and care staff are well briefed and equipped to produce effective resources and teaching aids.

Qualifications Required

  • UK QTS or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 3 & 4.

Our new Options Autism School will cater for pupils aged 11–19 with ASC and Complex Needs, with a capacity for 60 pupils.

Options Autism has provided care and education for over 16 years to pupils, young people, and adults with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties.
