Duties As a Maths Teacher
  1. Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  2. Inspire students to develop confidence and competence in mathematics, promoting problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  3. Use assessment to inform teaching and monitor student progress.
  4. Create a positive learning environment that promotes resilience, motivation, and achievement.
  5. Work collaboratively within a supportive Maths department and contribute to the wider school community.
Ideal Maths Teacher
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  2. Excellent subject knowledge across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable).
  3. Effective classroom management and communication skills as a Maths Teacher.
  4. High expectations for behaviour and achievement.
  5. A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
