Job description

TimePlan Education is working in partnership with a secondary school based in Coventry seeking a full time Maths Teacher to begin with them as soon as possible. This is a temp to perm position and can involve some SLT responsibilities for the right person if they wanted to stay on board for September 2025.


The experienced Maths Teacher will require:

  1. To deliver engaging lessons to the children in key stage 3 & 4
  2. Previous Maths teaching experience is desirable
  3. ECT's are welcome to apply and unqualified Maths Teachers - MUST HAVE UK TEACHING EXPERIENCE
  4. Provide support to children during classroom activities, ensuring they are engaged and participating fully
  5. Work closely with the classroom TA/support
  6. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive learning environment
  7. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  8. Assist in assessing children's progress and reporting any concerns to the lead teacher.

Skills

  1. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children and adults alike
  2. Experience working within education, QTS is desired
  3. Ability to educate and inspire young learners through creative teaching methods
  4. Familiarity with special education practices and strategies for working with children who have diverse learning needs within mainstream environments
  5. Previous experience working with children in various settings is advantageous
  6. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed in their educational journey.
