Inspire a Love for Numbers – Maths Teacher Wanted in Chalfont

Location: Chalfont, Buckinghamshire
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time or Part-Time
Salary: £33,075 – £50,471 (dependent on experience)

Are you passionate about making Maths meaningful, engaging, and accessible to all learners? Supply Desk are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a forward-thinking and supportive secondary school in Chalfont this September.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a qualified teacher – or someone with strong subject knowledge and a desire to train – to help young people unlock their potential and build confidence in Mathematics.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 teaching may be available, depending on experience)
  • Inspiring a positive attitude towards learning, encouraging curiosity and independent thinking
  • Assessing, tracking, and supporting pupils’ progress to help every student achieve success
  • Creating an inclusive classroom where all pupils feel supported and challenged
  • Collaborating with colleagues to share ideas and enhance the Maths curriculum
  • Playing an active role in the wider school community

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified Maths Teacher (QTS or equivalent) – though we also welcome applications from unqualified teachers who are passionate and ready to train
  • Experience teaching at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is a bonus)
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies
  • Excellent subject knowledge, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, team-focused, and adaptable mindset
