Maths Study Programme Tutors - Interviewing asap, May/June starts

2 roles available - Full Time Permanent

Locations: Accrington, Bury, Oldham, Lancashire

Working hours: 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 2pm finish on Fridays

Salary: £28k - £29k+ (negotiable) plus Company Car and a comprehensive benefits package including 22 days holiday rising to 27 after one year, bank holidays, option to purchase up to 10 additional days, casual dress code, healthcare for you and your family, long service awards, extensive training and development opportunities, team activities, and more!

Join a TOP QUALITY TRAINING PROVIDER! Due to our client's continued success, they are looking to expand their Skills for Life Team by appointing a Maths Tutor.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join a reputable Training Provider with a proven track record in Training and Development. The successful candidate will work with the Study Programme and Skills for Life Teams, delivering maths sessions to learners at the Accrington, Oldham, and Bury centres, from Entry Level to Levels 1 and 2.

The role involves providing additional support in maths to enable learners to achieve the Functional Skills Maths qualification.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

1. Plan and deliver engaging and interactive Maths sessions for learners working towards all levels of Functional Skills Maths.
2. Make reasonable efforts to remove barriers to learning affecting learners' progress.
3. Mark all work and provide constructive feedback to support skill development.
4. Deliver high-quality teaching, support, planning, monitoring, and formal review of learners' progress from start to final assessment. Resources are provided, but use of personal materials/resources is encouraged.

Requirements:

• A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., CertEd, PGCE, CTLLS, DTLLS)
• Ideally, a Level 4/5 Subject Specialism in maths
• Previous experience delivering maths up to Level 2
• Knowledge of Functional Skills Subject Content
• Excellent communication skills
• A passion for maths and supporting learner progress
