An exciting opportunity has arisen to teach in a hospital school which has been rated outstanding by OFSTED over four consecutive inspections.
Ellern Mede Ridgeway Hospital is a 28-bed inpatient Tier 4 CAHMS unit for young people. The school is on the picturesque site of Ellern Mede hospital and takes pride in delivering engaging lessons despite the barriers the young people face. We believe that every child has the right to access excellent education. We encourage our staff team to be reflective practitioners in astimulating, challenging and rewarding environment.
We are seeking asubject teacher (KS3 & KS4) in Maths and Science to begin in September 2025 who is committed to delivering creative and inspiring lessons. The successful candidate should be able to teach in a flexible manner and have excellent pastoral skills. All Ellern Mede teachers must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and be able to build trusting relationships with pupils, families, colleagues, young person's partner school as well as the wider medical team. The successful candidate must have a strong interest and enthusiasm in developing further in this setting.For more information please refer to the attached job description.
