Maths & Science Teacher – Full Time

Location: Cardiff – September 2025 start

• £166.33 - £250+ per day (depending on experience and teacher pay scale)
• Full-time Monday to Friday

• Teach Maths & Science in a pupil referral unit (PRU) based in Cardiff with a strong understanding of the national curriculum
• Collaborative team environment with a flexible approach to support the school's requirements

The School and Role

A pupil referral unit in Cardiff is looking to appoint a Maths & Science Teacher for a September 2025 start on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will be teaching pupils across KS3 and KS4, and potentially KS5 depending on your experience. The school caters to pupils aged 11 to 18, offering career progression, professional development, and a supportive team.

The pupils often come from disadvantaged backgrounds and may be labelled as 'naughty', but they need positive role models who can build relationships, de-escalate behaviors, and support their progress.

It is beneficial to have a team teach qualification or equivalent, but training is provided if needed.

Requirements

• Qualified Maths / Science teacher able to teach up to GCSE level
• Experience with secondary school-aged children
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Passion for student progress
• Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly
