Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking a Maths Lecturer to join its FE teaching team in the East Midlands. You will deliver engaging maths lessons across programmes, supporting learners of mixed abilities to gain qualifications and build numeracy skills for work, study and daily life.

You will join a supportive department and bring your subject expertise to the classroom, planning schemes of work, resources and assessments while tracking learner progress and providing timely feedback.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification or higher in maths or a closely related subject.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage learners of mixed abilities.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Desirable teaching qualifications such as QTS, QTLS, PGCE, CertEd or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
• Experience teaching maths within further education or secondary education.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering high-quality teaching across maths programmes.
• Preparing schemes of work, lesson resources and assessment materials.
• Tracking learner progress, marking work and providing timely feedback.
• Supporting learners with gaps in knowledge, building confidence and motivation.

About the Role

A further education provider in the East Midlands is looking for a Maths Lecturer to join its teaching team. You'll deliver engaging lessons across maths programmes, supporting learners of mixed abilities to achieve their qualifications and develop the numeracy skills they'll use in work, further study and everyday life.

You'll be part of a supportive department, with the scope to bring your own subject expertise into the classroom.
