Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking a GCSE Maths Lecturer to support resits and learners in the North West. You will deliver GCSE Maths to mixed-ability groups, plan schemes of work, create resources and assess progress.

The role requires a UK-recognised teaching qualification and a maths background; strong communication and motivational skills are essential. This is a mid-level contract/temporary position with a focus on practical outcomes and learner progression.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching GCSE Maths in FE or secondary education.
• Recognised UK teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, PGCE, CertEd, DTLLS, DET or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training).
• Maths-specific qualification or strong numeracy background.
• Strong understanding of GCSE specifications and resit strategies.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to inspire learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging GCSE Maths lessons to mixed-ability groups.

A further education provider in the North West is looking for a GCSE Maths Lecturer to teach learners who are resitting Maths alongside their main study programme. You'll support them towards a Grade 4 and help them build the numeracy skills they need for work, further study and everyday life.

Working as part of an established Maths team, you'll deliver lessons to mixed-ability groups and keep learners motivated and progressing.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging and accessible GCSE Maths lessons to learners of mixed abilities.
• Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson resources and assessments.
• Tracking learner progress, marking work and providing timely feedback.
