Job description

My client is looking for a Maths Lecturer to work at an Establishment around the Luton area. This is a Part-time Temporary role to start ASAP on an ongoing basis, and it will be teaching GCSE Maths, A-Level Maths & A-Level Further Maths classes. They can be flexible with the days as they haven’t finalised the timetable yet.

Ideally candidates will have:

  • Recent experience teaching Maths to students aged 16+
  • A Relevant Teaching Qualification
  • Experience of teaching GCSE & A-Level classes
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS
  • Be available to start ASAP

Job Specific Requirements

  • Ability to teach the full range of timetabled courses in the subject area
  • Experience in the subject area, and of planning and assessment of pupil learning
  • A knowledge of current issues and developments in curriculum Experience of curriculum development
  • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with staff, pupils and parents
  • Ability to effectively manage the learning and teaching of individual pupils, groups and classes
  • Ability to prioritise the work of the subject department Proven organisational skills
  • Ability to use appropriate interpersonal skills when relating to staff, pupils and parents.
