Job summary

Tyne Coast College seeks a Maths Lecturer via The Supply Register to join its Further Education team on a temporary ongoing basis. The role involves delivering GCSE/Functional Skills Maths, planning lessons, and supporting student progression across college campuses.

The ideal candidate will have a recognised teaching qualification or be working towards one, a Maths degree, and experience teaching in FE. Strong communication and inclusive teaching are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver Maths lessons across programmes and levels.

• Monitor learner performance, attendance and engagement.
• Identify strategies to support students needing additional assistance.
• Maintain accurate records per college procedures and awarding body requirements.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support teams to promote positive learner outcomes.
