Job summary

Caludon Castle School in Coventry is seeking an Assistant Leader of Maths to guide the Mathematics faculty, delivering a high-quality curriculum up to A Level and driving excellent GCSE and A Level results. The role requires an outstanding practitioner who can motivate students and colleagues alike and lead a team effectively.

The post is a fixed-term maternity cover for 1 year, commencing December 2026, with TMS/UPS pay and a TLR2 responsibility to reflect leadership duties within the

Qualifications

• Be an excellent practitioner with a passion for learning and teaching and a desire to ensure that the quality of learning in Maths is great.
• Be a leader with a desire to achieve the very best outcomes and deliver excellent, inclusive provision for all our students.
• Have an ability to support, motivate and develop teachers to improve their practice.
• Be able to teach Maths up to A Level.
• Have a record of consistently delivering strong GCSE and A Level results across a range of ability levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Mathematics faculty to raise attainment and motivate learners.
• Support, mentor and develop teachers to improve practice.
• Deliver Maths teaching up to A Level and contribute to curriculum design.
• Engage and inspire students to achieve high standards across key stages.
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote inclusive and aspirational learning experiences.
