Job summary

Miller House School in Leicester is seeking a Maths Lead Teacher to guide high-quality maths teaching in a specialist SEMH setting. You will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons and support pupils to build numeracy confidence and resilience.

The role may include Form Tutor duties, pastoral support, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to drive pupil progress and wellbeing in a unique, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS or equivalent).
• Has experience teaching Maths at secondary level.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join our specialist school, where every lesson has the power to transform a young person's future. This is an opportunity to teach in a supportive environment where relationships, wellbeing and personalised learning are at the heart of everything we do.

As our Maths Teacher, you'll deliver creative and engaging lessons that inspire pupils to develop confidence in numeracy, overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Working as part of a skilled multidisciplinary team, you'll play a vital role in helping young people build the knowledge, skills and resilience they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

You may also take on the role of Form Tutor, providing pastoral support, building strong relationships with families and professionals, and helping pupils thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

About Us

Miller House School is a brand-new school located in Stoneygate, Leicester. The school opened in September 2025, has a capacity of 80 pupils, and offers a co-educational provision for students with complex needs, including SEMH.

Miller House School is a specialist SEMH setting for young people aged 11–16. We are committed to supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, as well as autism and ADHD. Our safe and nurturing environment ensures every child is heard, seen, and supported to thrive.
