Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant

Are you a recent maths graduate looking to start a successful teaching career? Do you want valuable experience supporting GCSE Maths students to strengthen your future teacher training application?

Position details:

  • Location: Wolverhampton
  • Salary: £80-£90 per day
  • Duration: September 2024 - July 2025

Responsibilities include providing 1:1 and small group support to GCSE Maths students, assisting with lesson planning, assessment, and offering feedback. You will also create personalised support strategies, address student queries, participate in staff meetings and training, and assist during parent evenings.

The Graduate
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related subject
  • Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and confidence in supporting students
  • Passion for mathematics and dedication to KS3 and KS4 education
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Experience working with secondary school students is beneficial but not essential
