Senploy is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a large secondary school in Greenwich. This long-term/permanent role is ideal for graduates seeking classroom experience before teacher training, with opportunities to pursue QTS.

You will work on a 1:1 basis with a child with ASD and support pupils across KS1/KS2. A 2:1 degree or higher (or equivalent experience with children) is preferred, with GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a 2:1 or higher.
• Experience with children or in educational settings is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Provide 1:1 support for a child with ASD.
• Support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Assist with general classroom activities and pupil engagement during 8am–4pm, Monday to Friday.

Remedy are actively seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a large, busy Secondary school as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or experienced teaching assistant to develop their experience within education.

Role: Graduate Teaching Assistant

School Location: Greenwich, South East London

Contract: Long term/Permanent

A graduate with a degree graded 2:1 or above is ideal for this Teaching Assistant role or a graduate with some previous experience working with children is desirable. This relevant previous experience could include childcare, tutoring, nursery assistance, in a sport setting, charity or in a similar classroom setting.

In your second year as a Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to apply for schools direct teacher training and gain your QTS.

Hours of employment

Monday to Friday

8am until 4pm

This Teaching Assistant role will include 1:1 work with a child with ASD, perfect for candidates with previous experience working with Special Needs children. This school are looking for committed and bright graduates who are passionate about their input into a child's education to join as a Teaching Assistant. The graduate appointed will be supporting a child across Key stage one / two.

A graduate with a strong educational background is required for this Graduate Teaching Assistant role including GCSE's in Maths and English (C or above).

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to expand their classroom experience prior to undertaking their teaching training and becoming a fully qualified classroom teacher.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
