Remedy Education is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a large secondary school in Greenwich, South East London. This role is ideal for a graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in education and progress towards teacher training.

You will be involved in 1:1 support, particularly with a child who has ASD, and will help across Key Stage 1/2 with a strong emphasis on Maths and English. The post offers long-term/permanent prospects and a clear route to QTS through the School Direct

Qualifications

• Graduate with a strong educational background.
• GCSEs in Maths and English (C or above).
• Previous experience with children is desirable (childcare, tutoring, nursery, sport, charity).

Eligibility

A graduate with a degree graded 2:1 or above is ideal for this Teaching Assistant role or a graduate with some previous experience working with children is desirable. This relevant previous experience could include childcare, tutoring, nursery assistance, in a sport setting, charity or in a similar classroom setting.

Advance Opportunities

In your second year as a Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to apply for schools direct teacher training and gain your QTS.

Hours of Employment

• Monday to Friday
• 8am until 4pm
