Are you a recent Maths graduate with a passion for education and a desire to inspire the next generation of mathematicians? Are you considering a career in teaching or looking to gain valuable classroom experience before starting a PGCE or teacher training course?

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Finchley, Barnet that is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term position - perfect for someone who wants to build experience in a supportive school setting.

About the Role:

As a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support the Maths department in delivering high-quality lessons.

Work with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, providing one-to-one and small group support.

Assist with lesson preparation, resource development, and targeted interventions.

Help boost pupil confidence and understanding in core maths concepts.

Support students with varying abilities, including those with special educational needs.

Be a positive role model who inspires a love of learning.

What We're Looking For:

A recent Mathematics or Maths-related degree (e.g. Engineering, Physics, Economics).

A strong academic background, including a minimum grade C/4 in English and Maths GCSE.

Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine interest in helping young people succeed in maths.

Great communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, coaching, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.

A proactive, patient, and resilient mindset.
