Herne Bay High School is seeking an outstanding and visionaryHead of Maths and Business Studiesto help lead our high-performing team in delivering engaging, challenging, and forward-thinking education.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the strategic direction of two vital curriculum areas within a supportive and ambitious school community. You will lead a committed team of teachers along side the Head of Faculty, to drive high standards, and ensure every student reaches their full potential.

• A dynamic and inspiring teacher ofMathematics and/or Business Studieswith a proven track record of excellent classroom practice.
• Experience of leading a team or the readiness to step into a leadership role with vision and confidence.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Providing strategic and operational leadership for the Maths and Business Studies departments.
• Leading curriculum development and driving high-quality teaching and learning.
• Mentoring and developing staff, including performance management and professional development planning.
• Monitoring pupil progress and implementing interventions to close gaps.
• Contributing to whole-school initiatives and playing an active role in the extended leadership team.
