An established education recruitment agency is seeking passionate part-time Maths and Computer Science teachers for a supportive secondary school. Axcis Education are currently recruiting for two roles in a mainstream secondary school in Skelmersdale. 1. Part time Maths Teacher (Monday or Tuesday full days, Wednesday and Fridays mornings) 2. Part time Computer Science Teacher (Monday or Tuesday full days, Thursday and Friday mornings) Both positions would involve teaching KS3 students only. There is potential for both roles to be combined into a full time position, for the right candidate. These roles are due to begin after the May half term and run until the end of the academic year initially. This could be extended into September or progress into a permanent position, dependent on the school’s requirement The school is based on the outskirts of Skelmersdale and can be reached on public transport. It is a smaller than average school with around 200 students on roll. Class sizes are small, and there is a supportive senior leadership team in place. The school was rated as ‘good’ in its most recent OFSTED inspection. To be considered for this role, you must be confident teaching Maths or Computer Science up to KS3 level. Ideally you will be a qualified teacher with QTS, though the school are willing to consider applicants without QTS, provided they have sufficient subject knowledge and experience. Pay is flexible dependent on the experience and expectations on the applicant. You will require an enhanced DBS, on the update service for this position.
