Maths Academic Coach

The Role:
As a Maths Academic Coach, you’ll work closely with the maths department to support students in Years 7 to 11. You will run small group sessions, provide one-to-one interventions, and assist pupils in consolidating key mathematical concepts. Your work will focus on improving confidence, exam preparation, and overall attainment in maths.

The Candidate:
You should have a degree in mathematics or a related subject. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly are essential. You must be motivated to support young learners and committed to developing your skills ahead of a teaching career. Any previous experience working with students will be an advantage.

Requirements

- Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
- Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
- Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Desire to work in education/with children – A genuine interest in supporting students and progressing into teaching.
- Experience working with children – Any relevant experience such as tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering is desirable but not essential.
