Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking a passionate Maths Teacher for a November 2026 start in Northampton on a long-term supply basis.

The role involves delivering Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, preparing students for GCSE exams, and contributing to a well-established Maths department within a supportive secondary school. You will hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification, have a strong Maths specialism, and be committed to helping students progress.

Qualifications

• QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong subject specialism in Mathematics.
• Confident teaching across KS3 and KS4.
• Strong knowledge of the GCSE Maths curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Passionate about helping students develop confidence in Mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and well-planned Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Teach GCSE Mathematics and prepare students effectively for examinations.
• Plan and adapt lessons to meet the needs of students with a range of abilities.
• Develop students' confidence, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Monitor and assess student progress and provide effective feedback.
• Support students through targeted intervention and revision sessions.
• Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school team.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and progress.
