Reading School District in Reading, PA, seeks a Mathematics Teacher to engage secondary students in essential math concepts and problem-solving, using district-approved curricula and a focus on discovery and laboratory learning.
The ideal candidate will develop lesson plans, assess student progress, and communicate with parents while contributing to curriculum development and school activities; a PA instructional certificate is required.
Position Goal: To help each student develop competence in basic mathematics skills and an understanding of the structure of mathematics; to motivate each student to apply mathematical understanding and skills in the solution of practical problems; to encourage students to develop their special talents in the field of mathematics.
