Job summary

University of Oxford, in association with Hertford College, seeks an Associate Professor (or Professor) in Mathematical Physics. The appointee will hold a Tutorial Fellowship at Hertford College and contribute to teaching and research within the Mathematical Institute.

The position carries a University and College salary with a minimum £57,986 per annum plus a housing allowance of £12,433; an additional £3,199 per annum may be payable on award of Full Professor title.

Qualifications

• PhD in mathematics or physics, with outstanding research in mathematical physics.
• Ability to teach a range of topics in mathematics via lectures, classes and tutorials.

Responsibilities

• Carry out, disseminate, obtain funding for, and supervise research at a high international standard in mathematical physics.
• Teach a range of topics in mathematics through lectures, classes and tutorials.
