We have an exciting role for a Math Modeller to work within the Lethality and Requirements Authority team. You will be part of a team of 25 skilled engineers involved in modelling, lethality performance assessment, and the specification of lethal packages, which include Fuzing and Warhead sub-systems.
Circa £51,000 - £59,000 depending on experience
3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. Successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
As a Math Modeller within the Complex Warhead Centre of Excellence (CW CofEx), you will report to the Head of Lethality. Your activities will include developing lethality models, optimizing performance algorithms, and creating data analysis and visualization tools (primarily in MATLAB) to interpret lethality model results.
The Lethality Modelling group is a growing department of approximately 25 people with diverse skills. The team focuses on developing performance assessment models and analysis tools for large data sets, and actively engages in research projects with internal funding and external partners.
