Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Ward Environment Support Staff / Housekeeper for the Maternity Services at Princess Anne Hospital, Southampton. This permanent role offers 37.5 hours per week across full-time and part-time options.

Successful candidates will contribute to a positive inpatient experience, maintaining safe, welcoming environments for women, birthing individuals and babies.

Qualifications

• Cleanliness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a ward team.
• Good communication with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare birth rooms and ward spaces.
• Restock birth rooms, clinical areas and emergency trolleys.
• Assist in transferring patients with Porters.
• Support ward administration with clerical tasks.
• Signpost patients and visitors on the ward.
• Order stores and report broken equipment.
• Assist in planning and delivery of clinics.
