Job summary

Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust in Bath seeks a Midwifery Sister to lead the Maternity Triage Service, delivering safe, responsive and evidence-based care for women and birthing people accessing urgent maternity care.

You will coordinate day-to-day operations, maintain patient flow and escalate risk, while acting as clinical lead for BSOTS and supporting the NHS England Maternity Triage Specification.

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with current NMC registration.
• Evidence of training and competence in maternity triage assessment and escalation.
• Evidence of leadership development.
• Practice Supervisor and Practice Assessor qualification (or willingness to undertake).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical, operational and professional leadership within the Maternity Triage Service.
• Coordinate day-to-day management of maternity triage, overseeing clinical activity, patient flow, staffing, capacity and risk.
• Act as clinical lead for the BSOTS and support implementation of the NHS England Maternity Triage Specification.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to governance, audit, quality improvement and service transformation.
