Job summary

Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust is seeking 2 Maternity Support Workers for University Hospital Lewisham, Labour ward, contributing to high-quality care for women/birthing people and families. Role includes flexible involvement across the unit, with a focus on teamwork, dignity, and patient-centred care in a recently expanded service

Qualifications

• Experience as Maternity Care Assistant or willingness to support families.
• Ability to work with midwives and multi-professional team.
• Commitment to cleanliness, hygiene and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the midwives in the care of women/birthing people.
• Maintain accurate records in clinical records.
• Escort clients to different clinical areas and act as chaperone when required.
• Undertake phlebotomy and urinalysis and cannulation as directed by the RM.
