A leading healthcare provider in Chesterfield is seeking a Maternity Support Worker on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role involves supporting midwives in delivering high-quality antenatal and postnatal care to women and their families. The position offers a competitive salary between £24,937 and £26,598 pro rata per annum.

An opportunity has arisen to join Chesterfield Royal Hospital as a Midwifery Support Worker on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover Maternity leave
The post holder will support and assist midwives in the delivery of holistic, high quality, evidence‑based antenatal and postnatal care to women and their families.
The post holder will undertake unsupervised aspects of care and therapeutic intervention as delegated by the midwife, within agreed guidelines and sphere of responsibility.
This role provides support to Midwives ensuring that women receive high standards of maternity care throughout our service.
You must possess excellent communication and team working qualities with a willingness to learn new skills, with full training and support provided, and also have the ability to work under your own initiative and as part of the multi‑professional team. The post holder will be required to work a shift pattern that covers weekends and Bank holidays.
