Harmony at Home Maternity is seeking an experienced Maternity Practitioner to support a first-time family in Camden, London, during the crucial early months after birth. The candidate should be highly experienced with newborn knowledge, confident and reassuring, and able to work within NHS guidelines and safe sleep practices.

This self-employed role requires 5–6 days per week, around 20 hours of work plus a 4-hour break, with accommodation offered (ensuite room).

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in the maternity role.
• 12-hour Paediatric First Aid is required.
• Enhanced DBS is required.

Responsibilities

Job description

First-time parents are seeking an experienced and nurturing Maternity Practitioner to guide and support them through the precious first few months of their baby’s life.
The family are looking for a highly experienced professional with a wealth of newborn knowledge and a reassuring, confident manner who can put new parents at ease. The ideal candidate will be fully up to date with current NHS guidelines and safer sleep practices, with a strong understanding of newborn development, early milestones and establishing healthy routines.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a naturally collaborative and adaptable professional who enjoys working closely alongside parents and becoming a trusted part of the family during this special time. Mum is hoping to breastfeed, although this will naturally depend on the baby and how feeding progresses.
Above all, the family are looking for a kind, empathetic and highly organised professional who brings warmth, confidence and discretion to the role, together with a genuine passion for supporting new parents.

Gross 24 hourly Rate: £450pd
Hours of work: 20hrs +4 hr break
