First-time parents are seeking an experienced Overnight Maternity Practitioner to support them with their four-week-old baby, who is currently experiencing reflux and finding it difficult to settle comfortably after feeds.
The baby benefits from being held upright for around 20 minutes following feeds and can find settling into the crib challenging. The family are therefore looking for a practitioner with experience supporting babies with reflux, who is confident in providing calm, nurturing and responsive overnight care.
The family have explored different options to support their baby and are currently awaiting further specialist guidance. In the meantime, they would greatly value the reassurance and experience of a practitioner who can care for their baby overnight, allowing the parents to get some much-needed rest and recovery.
The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about current NHS guidance, safer sleep practices and newborn care, with previous experience supporting babies with reflux being highly desirable.
This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced and nurturing practitioner to provide invaluable support during the early weeks. The parents are looking for someone who can offer calm, knowledgeable and reassuring overnight care, giving them the opportunity to rest, recover and enjoy this precious time as a new family.
Job Start Date: 14th October
Contract End: 4 weeks
Location: Withington, Manchester
Gross hourly Rate: £25ph gross
Hours of work: 12am - 6am
Nights required: 2 nights a week
Specialist or expert required: Certified Maternity Practitioner
Minimum experience Level for this job: 5yrs experience within the role

We also recommend that you have appropriate professional insurance (maternity practitioner insurance / consultant insurance).
