Job summary

Meeveem Limited in Fareham is seeking a Salaried GP to cover maternity leave for at least 6 months, with potential extension. The post collaborates with a team of 6 partners, including Retainer GPs and Nursing/Admin colleagues, within a single-site training practice serving a broad patient base.

The postholder will manage a caseload, undertake surgery and telephone consultations, home visits, and ensure timely repetition prescriptions while adapting to timetable changes and maintaining high

Qualifications

• GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Qualified Medical Practitioner holding MBBS, MBChB or equivalent.
• Completion of GP Specialty Training and inclusion on the GMC GP Register.
• Evidence of continued professional development (CPD).
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Current indemnity cover or willingness to obtain appropriate cover prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload in a primary care setting, delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care.
• Provide surgery and telephone consultations, home visits, and repeat prescription sign‑offs.
• Adapt to appointment system changes and make autonomous clinical decisions.
• Assess health needs of patients with undifferentiated problems and screen for disease risk factors.
