Job summary

Ivy Learning Trust in Hertfordshire is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to provide maternity cover for 2 terms at Windhill21. The role runs 37.5 hours per week during term time, 8am–4pm, Monday to Friday.

You will work with the Early Years team to support young children in large and small groups and individually, bringing enthusiasm, energy and commitment to everyday learning and care.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Nursery Practitioner qualification is required.
• Good communication skills with children and adults.
• Ability to engage and supervise children in groups and individually.
• Commitment to a positive, energetic approach to tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide maternity cover for 2 terms in the EYFS team.

About this Role

We are looking for someone who is caring, flexible, shows initiative and is a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to work as part of our Early Years team to provide Maternity cover for 2 terms.

You should have good communication skills and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the needs of young children in large and small groups and as well as on an individual basis. The successful candidate will also have the ability to approach tasks with enthusiasm, positivity, energy and commitment.

Duties will also include break and lunchtime supervision.

Hours: 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

Total of 37.5 hours per week (term time only) January to August 2027.
