This nursery believes a safe and happy environment is essential for children and babies to develop and reach their milestones. Interactive and stimulating activities are vital to nurture and encourage development. We aim to provide learning opportunities for children to explore and discover in a warm and welcoming nursery.
They are looking for a maternity cover manager for one year, starting in August 2024.

Requirements:
- Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
- Experience within an Early Years leadership role (ideally as a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager or similar)
- Experience of participating with a regulatory inspection
- Experience of developing high performance teams, with effective regulatory compliance, quality improvement, delivery of high quality pedagogy, innovation and service excellence
- Confident decision maker, with ability to support change and understanding of the complex relationship between business/commerce and service excellence within a regulated setting
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and legislative requirements for working with children
- Ability to build trust and strong relationships with colleagues, parents and external partners
Key duties:
- Lead nursery teams to deliver outstanding care
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and performance
- Work with Recruitment and HR to ensure full staffing and diversity
- Mentor staff to ensure high-quality practice and experience for all children, including those with special needs
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, overseeing safeguarding and child protection policies
- Identify and develop talent within the team
- Collaborate with regional teams to implement commercial strategies for growth
- Manage nursery performance to meet financial targets
- Engage with Local Authority to support nursery practice
