Job summary

The Dow Surgery is seeking a salaried GP to cover maternity leave for twelve months. The post offers four sessions per week at a single town-centre site, alongside GP partners, salaried doctors and nurses who teach students and trainees.

Active GMC registration and experience in a GP practice are essential, with opportunities to contribute to audit, teaching and clinical governance within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Active GMC registration
• Experience in a GP practice
• Experience with vulnerable patients

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload and provide primary care across a wide range of health needs
• Attend surgery, telephone consultations and home visits
• Make autonomous clinical decisions within guidelines
• Record clear consultation notes and manage prescriptions
• Contribute to audit data and keep up with evidence-based practice
• Support teaching and supervision of students/trainees
