Job summary

Cherubs Nurseries in the United Kingdom is seeking a Qualified Early Years Educator for a maternity cover role. You will join the team to provide nurturing care, support development under the EYFS framework, and help deliver engaging activities for children.

The position requires safeguarding responsibilities, clear communication with parents, and participation in training with 30–40 hours per week. This is a fixed-term, family‑run environment encouraging professional growth within the Cherubs

Qualifications

• Right to work in the United Kingdom and DBS check.
• At least 2 satisfactory employment references.
• Keeping Children Safe form completed.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the childcare team to provide an amazing service for children and families.
• Ensure the environment is safe, secure and clean, adhering to safeguarding policies.
• Be a role model for children and demonstrate best practices to colleagues.
• Greet parents warmly and provide clear handovers at the end of the day.
• Plan and deliver activities that support EYFS development, both indoors and outdoors.
• Attend staff events, training sessions, and weekend or out-of-hours activities as required.
