A leading healthcare provider in Chesterfield is seeking a Maternity Assistant to support midwives in delivering high-quality antenatal and postnatal care. Job Opportunity: Maternity Assistant at Chesterfield Royal Hospital

An opportunity has arisen to join Chesterfield Royal Hospital as a Maternity Assistant within our Antenatal Outpatients Department.

The post holder will support and assist midwives in delivering holistic, high-quality, evidence-based antenatal and postnatal care to women and their families.

Responsibilities include undertaking unsupervised aspects of care and therapeutic interventions as delegated by the midwife, within agreed guidelines and spheres of responsibility.

This role provides essential support to midwives, ensuring women receive high standards of maternity care throughout our service.

Candidates must possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, a willingness to learn new skills (full training and support provided), and the ability to work independently and as part of a multi-professional team.

The successful candidate will be required to work a shift pattern covering Monday to Friday and Bank holidays.
