Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is seeking an Advanced Technical Materials Science Sales Associate to drive medium-complexity materials projects from qualification through to completion. You will bridge advanced materials expertise with commercial account delivery, collaborating with technical and sourcing teams and providing support to grow customer relationships.

The role emphasizes strong technical and commercial acumen, with a progression path toward a Lead position and a hybrid working

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in a STEM subject (Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry) or related technical discipline.
• Experience in technical sales, solution-based sales, or applications engineering within advanced materials or a similar B2B environment.
• Strong commercial awareness with understanding of pricing, profitability and negotiation.
• Ability to coordinate with technical specialists to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Experience supporting technically complex sales processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage opportunities from start to finish for materials-related projects of moderate complexity.
• Interpret customer technical requirements and convert them into practical materials solutions.
• Collaborate with technical, sourcing and quality teams to develop and implement the most effective solution.
• Lead commercial activities including proposal preparation, pricing discussions, negotiations and contract closure.
• Continue developing technical and commercial expertise by contributing to larger and more challenging projects.
