Job summary

Mego Employment is recruiting a Materials & Sales Controller for a Plymouth on‑site role. The position manages material and inventory to meet production demand, liaising with suppliers and cross‑functionally across the business. A strong focus on SAP, MRP and accurate order processing supports steady delivery to customers.

The role offers a permanent contract, 37.5 hours per week, and a competitive salary with opportunities for training and development within a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain, materials planning, purchasing, customer service, sales administration, or inventory management.
• Understanding of material planning, inventory control, and order management processes.
• Experience working with suppliers and coordinating delivery schedules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP/SAP Cloud ERP.
• Able to collaborate across Sales, Operations, Production Planning and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Manage material and inventory requirements across production demand with day‑to‑day supplier liaison and cross‑functional communication.
• Responsible for all manufacturing product demand against scheduled MRP‑driven requirements.
• Analyze and confirm material availability, adjust deliveries to production needs.
• Maintain inventory with an agreed stocking and replenishment strategy.
• Process sales orders accurately in SAP and communicate order status across teams.
• Support timely information flow between sales, operations, production planning and suppliers.
• Identify risks and support continuous improvement to enhance supply chain performance.
