Job Opportunity: Materials Planner

Are you an experienced and innovative Materials Planner seeking a new challenge? Look no further! We have an exceptional opportunity available for a talented individual to join a leading organisation based in Scarborough.

This role offers an attractive salary of up to £40,000, plus a 5% bonus. Responsibilities:
  1. Manage internal or external suppliers to ensure plants have the right material at the right time
  2. Build and improve supplier relationships
  3. Update SAP planning parameters as per business needs
  4. Manage supply risk by setting strategic stock levels and escalating to procurement or supply chain planning
  5. Manage the continuous needs/resources balance for raw materials, components, sub-assemblies, and finished products
  6. Manage supply priorities based on project priorities and customer needs
  7. Manage the replenishment backlog (creation and rescheduling of manufacturing and purchase orders)
  8. Manage stock of raw materials and components according to the master production schedule
Qualifications:
  1. Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  2. Experience in similar supply chain or planning areas
  3. A proactive approach and drive for continuous improvement
  4. Excellent organisational skills and strong IT skills, particularly in MS Excel
  5. Advanced knowledge of ERP systems
  6. Bachelor's degree in a Math or Science field
  7. Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering
