Materials Planner

FlexsourceNI, part of Cpl jobs, is delighted to be recruiting for our client in the Newry area for a Materials Planner at their manufacturing site.

Job Details

• Location: Newry site
• Salary: Starting at £32,000 - £35,000 per annum
• Contract: 12 months with possible extension
• Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8.15am – 5.15pm; Friday finish at 2.15pm
• Early Finish on Fridays
• 12 Month contract with potential for extension

Responsibilities

1. Ensure materials are ordered and scheduled for delivery from suppliers to meet customer service requirements.
2. Ensure deliveries are on time, in the correct containers, and in the required quantities.
3. Validate supplier schedules to meet facility demands and collaborate with suppliers for ongoing material availability.
4. Resolve delivery and invoice discrepancies.
5. Maintain optimal inventory levels through planning and coordination.
6. Manage scheduling and control of onward ship materials as necessary.
7. Support business transformation projects, including systems, data, reporting, and ad hoc reviews.
8. Manage returnable stillages.
9. Set up and maintain SAP S4/Hana System Master data for Suppliers and Materials.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Requirements

• Previous experience in a material planning or supply chain role.
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems; SAP S4/Hana experience is preferable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels of a business.
