Job summary

A recruitment consultancy is seeking a Material Planner in Newcastle to ensure timely availability of materials for production. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in material planning and knowledge of ERP systems, especially Oracle ASCP. This role offers a hybrid working model with a focus on maintaining smooth production flow and addressing material issues.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Material Planning.
• Previous MRP/ERP experience - Oracle ASCP is a real bonus.
• Knowledge of Engineering BOM structures.
• Strong communication, organisation, and influencing skills.
• Confident IT skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Review the ERP system daily to ensure materials are available as per BOM requirements.
• Convert ERP suggested requirements into purchase requisitions.
• Work closely with the Production Scheduler to identify risks and resolve material issues.
• Act as the link between procurement, projects, and production teams to keep things moving.
• Monitor inventory levels to maintain material flow.

Kinetic PLC are recruiting for a Material Planner on behalf of our client in Newcastle!

Are you experienced in material planning and confident working with MRP/ERP systems? Do you enjoy keeping production running smoothly and ensuring materials are available on time? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Responsibilities

• Review the ERP system daily to ensure materials are available as per BOM requirements.
• Convert ERP (Oracle ASCP) suggested requirements into purchase requisitions.
• Work closely with the Production Scheduler to identify risks and resolve material issues.
• Act as the link between procurement, projects, and production teams to keep things moving.
• Monitor inventory levels to maintain material flow while supporting cash flow targets.
• Ensure data quality and accuracy in the ERP system.

• Proven experience in Material Planning.
• Previous MRP/ERP experience - Oracle ASCP is a real bonus!
• Knowledge of Engineering BOM structures.

Details

• Location: Newcastle
• Hybrid: 1 day home office possible (after training)
• Hours: 37.5 per week, compressed week available (half-day Friday), core hours 10am-4pm
• Pay: £17.94 per hour
