Position Overview

We are hiring a Materials Management Supervisor. The Materials Management Supervisor will be responsible for leading the execution of materials management activities for warehousing optimization, inventory control accuracy, process improvements, and executing to department goals. They will be responsible for raw material and finished goods inventory levels and location control to support production schedules for three shifts.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  1. Lead a team of Material Handlers in fulfilling production work orders, supporting 3 shifts of manufacturing, Receiving, Raw Materials releases, and pack-down operations.
  2. Coordinate timely movement, proper storage, and maintenance of stock location system for raw materials and finished goods.
  3. Maintain GMP receiving, warehouse, and distribution operations by enforcing operational shipping and personnel policies and procedures.
  4. Establish and enforce standards and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, complying with EH&S regulations.
  5. Plan and implement warehouse layout improvements, inspect equipment, and coordinate repairs and replacements to maintain physical condition of the warehouse.
  6. Establish security procedures and protocols to safeguard warehouse operations and contents.
  7. Coordinate the annual physical inventory for raw materials, WIP, and FGs based on inventory policies.
  8. Coach department employees and delegate responsibilities effectively.
  9. Assist in hiring department personnel.

Required Skills/Education

  • BS/BA in business or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 to 5 years planning experience.
  • 2 to 4 years supervisory experience.
  • SAP experience.
  • Full understanding of production, inventory control, and material resource planning.
  • Ability to speak and read English fluently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred experience:

  • APICS classes or certification (desirable).
