A healthcare provider in Stockport is seeking a member for the Procurement Department to manage stock ordering and restocking duties. The role requires handling physical stock and using NHS IT systems to maintain accurate records. The ideal candidate will demonstrate manual handling skills and attention to detail. The post holder will be a member of the Procurement Department within the Materials Management Team and will provide a stock ordering and put-away service to Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, restocking the wards and departments.
70% of the main duties and responsibilities of this role involve manual and physical activities, including ordering, checking, and putting away stock products. This involves moving and handling products across wards and departments, dealing with returns where appropriate, and physical effort such as standing for long periods, walking across the Trust site, and working in small storeroom areas.
