Job summary

London Bridge Hospital is seeking a Materials Loan Kit Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team. This role manages the end-to-end loan kit process for theatre procedures, ensuring essential prostheses, instruments and consumables are available when needed.

You’ll coordinate booking, ordering, receipt, reconciliation and return of loan kits, work with theatre teams and suppliers, and help maintain high standards of patient care and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a theatre or surgical hospital environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across teams.
  • Strong customer service and proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Good organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end management of loan kits required for surgical procedures, ensuring kits are available and delivered on time.
  • Review theatre bookings daily and liaise with clinical teams and suppliers to arrange appropriate equipment and prostheses for upcoming cases.
  • Receive, inspect and reconcile incoming loan kits, investigate discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with suppliers and clinical stakeholders.
  • Process purchase orders, requisitions and supporting documentation to ensure timely payment of suppliers and accurate charging of used items.
  • Support management of consignment stock, high-value inventory checks and reporting of loan kit activity and exceptions.

We’re looking for a Materials Loan Kit Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team based at London Bridge Hospital. This team plays a critical role in supporting surgical services by managing the end-to-end loan kit process for theatre procedures. Loan kits provide essential prostheses, instruments and consumables required for patient surgeries, ensuring clinical teams have access to specialist equipment exactly when it is needed. Working closely with Theatres, Sterile Services, Purchasing, Accounts Payable and external suppliers, the team helps maintain the highest standards of patient care and operational efficiency.

As a Loan Kit Coordinator, you'll be responsible for coordinating the full lifecycle of surgical loan kits, from booking and ordering through to receipt, reconciliation and return. You'll work with theatre teams to ensure the correct kits are available for upcoming procedures, investigate discrepancies, manage supplier relationships and support the accurate processing of documentation and purchase orders. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced theatre environment and wants to play a visible role in supporting life-changing surgical care. What You’ll Do
